I plan on getting a set of 16x7 rota circuit 8's in sports bronze (40mm offset, lightweight, flat spokes, gloss rim - ccooolll) with some taller 205/50-16 tires to fill the huge wheelwells on the car. if i was going to do 17's i'd choose 205/45-17's for the same reason. besides, a little more sidewall makes a world of difference in ride quality.
right now, as stock, the 185/60-14's have 3" of gap between the top of the tire and the wheelwell. The tires listed above will change that to 2.25" of wheel gap, and that's before adding sport springs or coilovers.
so, with a 1.5" approx sport/lowering spring, I'll get that wheel gap down from 3" to 0.75", and the ride height will not look ghetto slammed because the body itself will only be 0.75" lower than stock due to the taller tires.
