I have a set of 4 15"X6” 4X114.3mm  1983-1987 MAZDA 626 OEM "phone-dial" alloy wheels (Hollander #64639, Mazda P/N H076-89-376) with 205/50/15 Falken Azenis.  I'm not sure of the offset.  The clearance to the rear strut is very close, but it's never rubbed once, even when autocrossing.  The wheels look like they were made for the car.  The center caps from my 14X5.5 OEM '91 Capri wheels even fit (I liked the "blank" center caps better than the "Mazda" ones).  These wheels are pretty hard to find - I looked for a year to find a set.

dang, i cant believe i didnt see this thread...

there 16x7 5zigen Japan, Fighters, in silver... the rear struts are really close.... and im running 205/40/16 bfg g-force sports...
ive painted my center caps gun metal...

i love them ...there 15lbs a piece... and the tires kick ass, even in the rain ...the only drawback is they wear out fairly quickly...

yeah i had a lot of problems in this area no one seem to be about to say this WILL fit  and what offset works the factor is 44 and you can find 40 easy  but the wheel places says i need a 35 or 38 and once you buy your stuck and that sucks i want a 15x6 205 50 15 dam it lol

anything 14"-17" will fit... but putting a 17 on a capri, is like putting 20s on a cutlass... your limited to 1 tire size.. 205/40/17...
a 16" wheel gives the freedom of about 3 or 4 different tire sizes... and a 15" lets you choose basically how far off you want your speedo...
i run a 16" wheel...there lighter weight, tires are cheaper.. you have more tire size options..
and you dont raise the car up at all...

I'm not sure if it can help you but this is what works for me:
I have 15 x 6 1/2 OZ wheels that are just perfect, with 195/50/15 and the offset is 40.
I tried 15 x 7 with a 35 offset, still in 195/50/15, they are too large, but if I use the low springs, they are just fine and look good.
But 205 wouldn't work on these, the strut is too close and also they would be out of the fender.
I think 35 is a limit, but offset is just one of the parameters.
I wouldn't try 17x7 on mine, I don't know how I could do, so maybe the turbo are different

Ok, i know this is an old thread.  I just don't want to open multiple thread with same question.

I'm want the low profile look.

I know the 17" is limited and choice with the 16's.  What's the recommendation for plug and ride, no need to recalibrate anything.

I run 205/55 R15s - have for 20,000 miles with no rubbing issues - and I've had the car on long distance trips in excess of 1500 miles, twisty roads, luggage and 2 passengers.  I had to recalibrate the speedometer for $80 but I think it looks good (see pic) and I never met a speed bump I had to worry about.

I dont really know what the number means other than the Radius. Would this work without any speedo work?
