Wheel stud shoulder/wheel spacers
« on: April 11, 2008, 08:37:00 AM »

It looks like I will need spacers for my 205/50/15 Falken Azenis to clear my rear springs on my '91 XR2.  There is only about 1/4" clearance.  Front looks OK.  H&R makes spacers that look like they are a decent design and include the 59.5mm hub bore diameter for the rims.  The 15 mm size (~9/16") should be enough to allow at least a bit of sidewall flex.  The kit (PN 3064595) comes with 2 spacers and new (longer) studs.

I checked on theeir web-site, and they offer two different sets of studs for the BF.  When I called H&R, they said some have 13 mm stud shoulders and others have 14.85, and some studs differ front and rear on the BF chassis.  Anyone have rear studs sitting in their parts bin that they could measure?

What Azenis? RT-615s? If so you are my hero for actually using decent tires on a street car    Why don't you use the tried and true rx-7 or b2000 studs that guys use for the Galant brake upgrade?  Or you could just buy coilovers
