While changing my shifter boot the gear shifter fell and the only thing keeping it from hitting the ground is the exhaust pipe underneath it. Do anyone have a clue on how to fix this problem. It seems as though nothing is holding it in place.

This actually happened to me only a month or so ago. However, in my case, it just randomly happened. Anyways, there are probably two little clips you put somewhere and those clips are pretty much the only things holding it up...at least, that's what we thought, and used. =P
