SAVED: Where to get seals (323 gtx forum)
« on: June 29, 2003, 05:25:00 AM »

Actually I looked again last night after I posted & the Flying Miata Pistons
are closer to 8.5-9:1 my oops...

The entire engine gasket/seal kit is from Fel-Pro. Except for the Head gasket
which is the metal style from Flying Miata. Is there something I need to know
or worry about with the seals? I assume you mean the crankshaft seals?

I think I even found an off the shelf ARP con-rod fastener set.... I like
knowing the fasteners will out live the engine itself... very nice piece of
mind.

I have cataloged all the outer engine fasteners as well. I ordered every
fastener I could find new from Fastenal or South Coast Stainless Fasteners.

Thanks

Does anybody know where to get the head gasket for the capri turbo, or maybe even an upgraded one?

the current oem ones are fine. now if you go copper they will hand alot more power but tend to need replacin more fequently due to it being metal and the chance of brittleness of time and cossion and shrinkage over time.

Go to miata.net and follow links to shops..
