Idle
« on: August 20, 2006, 05:51:00 AM »

Does any one else have a rpoblem with their idle?  its been adjusted a million times already, and we can't seem to get  the car to run smooth.  it is either way to high and sounds like it will explode or its way too low and feels like the car wants to die out.  right now it's set at around 900 rpm when in drive and it runs ok, but it will sometimes die out.  Nay suggestions?  thanks

Check your dizzy. Also watch your crank pulley while the car is idling and make sure it doesn't look like its bouncing around. If so you might need a new crank key or possibly crank and if thats the case if makes your timing bounce all over the place. Also check for the obvious things make sure there are no vacuum leaks anywhere.
