I could come down from Madison and join you.  I think Yuri said something about this too.  I'd feel better following somebody, since I'm not real excited about driving in Chicago, and I haven't ever driven my Capri on a long trip such as this.

Our 4-5 car group will be leaving Friday, but we will be going through Chicago, on 290.  If someone has a better idea, I will run it past my drivers and we can ride with you, or you can ride with us!!

Elwood was going to leave Saturday morining at the crack of a--.  He never knows his work schedule,and is to cheap to buy a hotel room for Friday night.  If you all are leaving friday evening, maybe we could work something out.  Lets face it, we're all driving old cars and you never know when we might need help if someting breaks.

I was thinking a friday early afternoon going through Chicago?  I know that Chicago traffic sucks for an underpowered car.  Slam on the breaks, then slam on the gas, then slam on the breaks, then wait for 20 mins in traffic.  The sad thing about the trip is, the Capri does not have enough room for all of the fireworks I'd like to bring back

From our experiences going to PA, it's not really going through Chicago that is the problem, but getting into IN!! We can sit for 3 hours and only move 7 miles.  Again, if someone has a better route, I'm all for it!!

No I did not receive your payment...  I am assuming you were trying to send it via paypal (rcstone@home.ffni.com)...  Try it again, if it doesn't work....  just bring the money with you the day of the Gathering...  We are getting close enough now...that the Gathering may happen before the US mail would deliver your check/money order anyway...  

Don't worry about your shirts...we have them on order...they will be here waiting for you to arrive....  If you need to talk with me...feel free to contact our office (219) 843-1062...   See you later on August 16th...

Do we have you registered and you just need to pay?  Or...do you need to register also?

To answer your question.... yes, since we are getting so close to the gathering...   Just bring your money and I will collect it when you arrive to receive your welcome packet and bag of crab!

In saying this, I would still like you to register, if you haven't already, so I have the detailed information on your car and will know how many people will be joining us (to make sure we have enough food, drinks, prizes, etc.)....

I am registered and making final plans to leave...I am (again) going to try my best to go. Odds are much better this year because its closer and I'm really dying to make it to one.

My transmission axle seals are leaking...
