To All Attendees:

I am trailering one of my cars to the meet this year, so I will have plenty of bed space in the truck for extra parts!!  If anyone needs parts, now would be the time to email me!!  I have virtually every part you need!!  I have good bumpers, hoods, rear decks, gas tanks, doors, and everything in between!  I have a Razzy body kit (front and rear bumpers, and side skirts) as well, that I would be happy to bring to the meet!

Interested parties should email me at: Cougar1prod@comcast.net

Thanks!

NEWS....NEWS.....

We now have 31 cars registered.....  I know Shirley is trying to get someone to drive her second car down, which would give us 32...   The question is - WILL YOU BE THE ONE TO REGISTER AND MEET OR EXCEED OUR ATTENDANCE RECORD?  You never know..the car who breaks the attendance record may have something special waiting for it at the Gathering....

Its not to late....   please contact me at rcstone@home.ffni.com or call me at 219-843-1062...

We are waiting to hear from you!

We will not be racing this year, but will be using the cars to play our games (example:  time trials, who can stop the closest with out knocking the egg off, etc.).   We will have a great time, even without the race track...  Thank you for asking....  See you in August! Cheryl

We have now exceeded our goal of 33 Capri's registered for the Capri show...

Come on August 16th and find out who was our 33rd Capri owner to register...

I expect we will see more than the registered amount as I have had several people claim they will see us on August 16th, but have not registered as of yet (will be registering that day on late registration)...

Will look forward to seeing everyone for our 7th Annaul MACG....

In addition, I have another car ready to go!!  Those of you that were at the 2nd and 3rd MACG should remember my friends John & Michelle Grossman. They will be bringing a 93 XR2!!  Now, I'm just working on having my Mother let me bring her 91 N/A, and then we'll have 4 cars coming!!  Who knows, maybe a couple more after that..............!

Josh....   how many are coming with you....2 or 3?   Let me know how many will be in your car...and I will email your total to you.

Rocketman.....  I know you mentioned you were coming, but I don't have you registered.   Please send me your details so I can include you in our count if you are coming (how many people, car details, year, XR2 or NA, Modified or original, and shirt size).   I can get the other information from you later.

Also,  tomorrow is the last day to get registered and receive a shirt....  Shirley is ordering the last batch of shirts tomorrow...   So if you are coming and want a shirt, but have not registered...tomorrow (July 31st) I need to hear from you (219) 843-1062  or email me at rcstone@home.ffni.com.

Just to share an update...  we have 37 cars registered (hopefully more tomorrow) and we were on the front page of the local newspaper of Pulaski County...

It states:  "Something new is being added to the festival this year as well...   The Mid America Aussi Capri Gathering will have as many as 50 rare mercury Capris on display and spectators will have a chance to vote on their favorites and win some prizes themselves.   People from all over the country, including most Midwest states, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Colorado, etc. will be traveling to Medaryville for this special event.   The Austrailian made Mercury Capris were manufactured between 1991 to 1994 with only 366 of the XR2 model made in 1994, making them a rare gem.  The cars were made to encourage younger customers into Mercury dealerships. With the 30 plus miles per gallon, the sporty convertibles are a fuel efficient, fun collectors item.  One of the Capri owners traveling to the Potato Fest placed fourth in the 2007 Mall of America Contest of Kings for his impersonation of Elvis.  Mr. Ray Sisk will be showing off his Elvis impersonation sills at 1 p.m. on Saturday and is expected to add some additional flavor to this very special weekend."

I wanted to share this with all of you, as we may have visitors/spectators looking around and asking questions during our gathering.  What an awesome time to show off our little gems!  Come and join the fun!

See you on August 16th...

Cheryl-
I know you said the meet was happening in conjunction with your towns festival, but you never mentioned it was a "Potato Fest"!!!  For some reason I find that quite funny!!

Russ...   I am glad I can make you laugh. This area has ground suitable to grow great potatoes, and at one time had a great big potato factory many years ago, thus started the Potato Festival(a litle history lesson)...

Josh...  I will send you your email with your total, now I know how many are coming..  Thanks!

Rocketman (Matt)...yes, I do have your registration after going back and checking...  Sorry I worried you, but wanted to make sure we had you counted...   Thank you...
