Howdy All! If you are attending the 3rd Annual NorthEast Capri Gathering  & are looking for hotel info, here it is!

The hotel we stayed in last year is the Pocono Inn At Water Gap. It is located right up the street from the main meeting place, its less than a 1/4 mile away.

Rates are $59 Friday night & $69 Saturday night. I am trying to work a 10% discount here. We will probably be having a small pre-party & after-party here, for those interested. Meet tradition  


There is also the Days Inn in East Stroudsburg, this is right off Route 80 at the Marshalls Creek Exit, one exit away from Water Gap. It's a 5 minute or less drive to the PA Welcome Center.

Rates are $59 Friday night and $68 Saturday night. They have a Mexican restaurant & pool at this location.


There are also a handful of hotels in Stroudsburg but they are a little more pricey.

Matt,

If the weather is good, we were considering bringing Jake, our dog - is the hotel pet-friendly?  If not, I'm sure the Super 8 or one of the others is.  But if we don't stay there and want to attend the pre- and post- parties, do you think would Jake be allowed in?  Thanks.

I checked it out.  I think we'll probably end up at the Budget Inn, which apparently takes pets, and just make up the rest as we go along.

I don't see a problem with you bringing Jake along. The Pocono Inn was fairly lax with us last year with our usual Capri shenanigans

Well, they are apparently strict about pets staying there.  So we'll stay at the budget inn and see what we can get away with otherwise, but we're definitely coming.  I think I'm just bringing the XR2, as it should be better on the hills than the NA.  Forecast looked sunny last time I checked!
