I talked to the guys in Byron and we are on the schedule for the 19th.  They have suggested we get to the track (if you are going to race) no later than 9 AM - you can not go on the track until 9:30 but the sooner we get there the sooner we get a lane assigned to us the sooner we get to the track.  
I also asked about helment again.  This time I was told as long as your car is slower than a 13 second time then no helmet is needed.  Mine does not go that fast so I am OK but if yours does you will need a helmet.
I did forget to add to the registration form if you would be racing.  If so please let me know so I know how many to tell them will be racing.
Currently we only have 16 cars signed up.
Any one else planning on coming and have not signed up please do so soon so I can make sure I have enough T-Shirts for everyone.
Hope more of you sign up so we can have a record turn out again.

If you don't want to commit (like my brother who bought my '91 xr2), no problem.  You can still come, you just won't get a T-shirt.  Please correct me if I'm wrong Shirley.

I will be racing. Unfortunately I'm still not below the 13s bracket so I guess I dont need a helmet  :(

Its not too late to register, and I think most of the cars attending will be stock...so nothing to worry about! It'll be a fun experience, dont start making excuses already!

ok well than maybe i will race ill get still get killed really badly and my dad will have to race i get liscence in september 22 >.< imm only 16 imm a younging and i still need 6months on permit so were do i register and how much

All right, how many people are coming to this years Gathering?  We will be on a real NHRA Drag Strip this year.  Come on folks, What other car that does not cost an arm or a leg to buy has this much fun?  We want to see a butt load of Capri's this year.  Shirley is working real hard on this event, and God Bless Her!  

Imagine all of us cruising down a nice two lane highway that winds around with the river, sun filtering through the trees, wind blowing through our hair (or whats left of it), the sound of raw fury as 30+ Capri's struggle to get up a hill.

Well, Hello,everybody!!!
After being absent for over 2 months, I am back, alive and well(for the most part!!)
Shirley-
You can count on us for a minimum of 4 cars.  This is my first time on-line in 2 months, so I have NOT had a chance to register at CapriGathering.com, yet.  I realize the deadline for shirt orders is way past, but any chance..............???
Matt (Rocketman)- Do you have an extra computer already chipped??  I would like to make 3 passes with the stock PC, and then 3 passes with yours, to get a good comparison.  OOOOHHHH, I can't wait!!!!!

since i don't have the $400 for a nitrous spray bar for my intercooler yet, i might want to invest in a few co2 fire extinguishers. hose down the IC right be4 the run. make car go faster!

I will bring my entire stock of computers with me (sitting at 3 right now) and I'll bring all my equipment to chip the ECU's.

Looking forward to going, I think I found a travel mate. 1600 miles is not going to be fun alone  :(

Everyone who is thinking about coming to the gathering and has not registered - I will be placing the final order for shirts on Monday.  So go to the site and register so I can at the very least make sure all have a shirt (if they want one)
Later in the week I will post how many cars it looks like will be there. I still need to know who will be racing. I have a few "rocketman, yuri, I think even Josha, and I bet Russ" so if you could email me a yeah then I will be set.

Anyway, things are looking good for this year. If you don't want to come for the racing, or for the freindships renewed or made then just come for the famous "bag of crap".  Hope to see you there.

I have a Sony am/fm cassette radio (no cd) with removable faceplate wired for the capri and a set of trunk lid supports that I am sure are good and a steering wheel (non cruise) free to anyone who is at the meet.
