Please tell me this is a typo:  the online registration site is up and running and the deadline for registration is  June 15 ?  It's really July 15, correct?  Thanks.

DO NOT REGISTER VIA THE REGISTRATION SITE.
IT IS NOT WORKING.

To those of you who have already registered I have no idea who you are.

If you have registered please email me at
shirley2ivory@yahoo.com and tell me:

your name
year,type and color of car
if you want a Men's or Womens T'shirt and what size  or if you want a Tank Top mens or womens and what size.
If you want extra shirts what kind, and sizes.

Dead line for information is July 15, 2007.

Pay Pal is not working either.  I have contacted them and it just is not going to happen that way this year.  So - how about if everyone coming just plans on $7.00 for lunch paid that day and I will get the soft drinks and water for the track and we should be good to go.  (I hope)

Hotel phone numbers in Freeport are:
Holiday Inn  815-232-4455
Ramada Inn 815-297-9700
Stephenson Hotel 815-233-0300

I have not contacted hotels - I do not have time.
Sorry.
Sure I am missing stuff but please send a special email to me so I know who and how many.
Thanks

For those interested....   I called the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn and the Stephenson...and they were at a rate of $95.00 or higher (a night)...   I called the Country Inns and Suite there in Freeport and was quoted a rate of $89.00 a night.... They had a total of 10 rooms with King Size Beds still left (maybe more with different bed combinations)...  Their phone# is 815-233-3300 if anyone is interested.

See you all in August!

The registration site is working.  I sent Shirley a bunch of blanks last night as tests.  I was going to call her and tell her what was going on, but then some moron took out a telephone pole and I lost my phone service for about 4 hours.  I'll call you tonight Shirley.

Thanks to those of you in northern Illinois for your efforts with preparation, logistics, the website, hotel info and all.  You guys are great!

Since I already printed off a snail mail order form, I'll just use it.  Thanks.

G R E A T  N E W S !!!!!!!!   The site is working. Thank you Terri.  Great job.

use the gathering site to register.
Now just as a note:  I will expect every one to let me know the day of the outing if you have not paid for the food in advance.  I am way to busy and to trusting to try to keep track of who has or has not paid. I know we are a honest and trust worthy group of people so don't let me down.
Again use the site and see you there.
Also:  T-Shirts are only for those who register in advance.  Sorry I am working way to many hours (55+HRS a week) to make unordered shirts.

What??!!! No Super 8 this year? Oh, yeah, it burned down last year!! I never did get a refund for the 2nd night I did not get - heh. I can second Yuri's recommendation of the Gasthaus in Monroe.

Time is running short.
Sign up and be part of the fun.
So far we have about 15 cars.
I have not heard from Russ or his family and
Grant (where are you?)or either of the Jeff's but it does look like a lot of the regulars will be there but the surprize so for this year is "ROCKETMAN"
can't wait to see all the "toys" he will be bringing this year.
Rick and Cheryl remeber to bring the glove box handle repair parts (these work great, people.)
Bag of Crap will also be back but not as nice as Dr. Bob's.  I don't have the imanination he does.

Hey Shirley, I sent you a million test regs for the website, but never sent a real one, so I'm doing that now.  Please ignore the 14 other shirts that were ordered by me.

I googled on "byron dragway helmet" and found the following from late June this year for a Chicago Maxima club --

From what I remember, pants are required to run, and a helmet is required if you dip into the 13's.

pants, sleeved shirt(t-shirt is ok) and shoes, no flip flops sandals or anything like it..

And here is a February revision to IHRA rules --

Helmet: Change wording of the 3rd section: Change 13.99 (8.59 1/8) to 11.49 (7.49 1/8) must use a helmet meeting SN - 95 or newer. Entries going 11.50 (7.50 1/8) may use a SN - 90 or new helmet.

Not sure what this really means - but there is one bit of info.

Why?  I can write the strip again and ask about helments and get back with the group.

Just looked at the Byron Dragway site - what does this do to our time there?

Rescheduled Division Pro Am Race
August 17th, 18th & 19th
2 Races - 2 Days
No Membership Required from IHRA/NHRA
Friday night test and tune open to all
from 3 pm to Dusk
Flyer soon to come

Will the 19th be taken up completely with this event?
