3rd Annual NorthEast Capri Gathering Official Thread
« on: August 07, 2011, 12:51:00 AM »

Howdy all... It's that time of the year again! The 3rd Annual NorthEast Capri Gathering will be held Saturday, September 24th in Marshalls Creek, PA!

This will be another Meet & Cruise: We will gather late morning for chat, coffee & donuts followed by a scenic cruise through the beautiful Pocono Mountains, grabbing some lunch along the way. We have had a blast the last two years, come out this year and have some fun!

The condition of your Capri does not matter! This isn't a car show, it's an opprotunity to meet fellow Capri owners, socialize, and enjoy your Capris together in some very scenic country. The only thing that matters is your presence!

Here's video from the beginning of last year's cruise:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C3R3QXmhKU

And a photo gallery of pictures from 2010 as well:  http://imageevent.com/roosport/2ndnecg/2ndnecg

Here's our flyer for this year:

Hope to see some folks return & some new faces as well! There is an event page on Facebook if you'd like to check that out as well. -Matt

To make things a little easier this year we will meet at the PA Welcome Center in Delaware Water Gap.
It's right off Route 80, Exit 310.

For a GPS Address you can use: Intersection of "Broad Street" & "Highway 2028" (also known as "River Road", your GPS may vary) in Delaware Water Gap, PA. The entrance for the Welcome Center is right around the corner from this intersection, you will see signs for it.

Here is a link to a Google Maps location for the Welcome Center: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=40.990981,-75.142086&hl=en&sll=40.99101,-75.141919&sspn=0.002288,0.005681&num=1&t=h&vpsrc=0&z=18

This address is right up the street from the Pocono Inn at Water Gap where many attendees will be staying.  There will be a Capri parked at the entrance to the help guide people in. I was planning on meeting at a Dunkin Donuts but this location will be much easier for everyone to get to.

We will be meeting 10:30 - 11:00 AM. I hope to begin the cruise a little before Noon. WE WILL MEET RAIN OR SHINE! As always - I will have Coffee & Donuts for everyone.

The cruise will be a little different this year, we will be going into the Water Gap like the last two years for a photo op, and then following the Delaware River north via Rt. 209 through the Park Service. We will have lunch in Milford or Matamoras PA, and we could possibly visit High Point NJ if there is interest & enough time. I will have maps printed for everyone to make things easier.

If you have any questions, please ask! If you are attending I ask that you email me, I will provide my cell # in case you need to get in touch with me. I can be reached at rocketman[AT]werbatfik.com

We had a total of Eight cars at the meet, the weather held up and we had a heck of a cruise! Everyone had a great time.

Here's a few pics, I'll post more later.

Wish I could have made it Matt.  Maybe next year if I get the suspension fixed and tires.  Beautiful pix.  Not one Red Capri.  That has got to be a first.

Thank you Terri. Was thinking of you - I miss ya! <3

Our color spread this year was pretty odd, lots of white and reef green, of course Steel Blue  ;)
