Ignition Module

Looking for an Ignition Module for a 1993 non/turbo Capri. Have had trouble fing one. Reasonable that is.The Ignition Module is the one inside the distributor.

If it's inside you want the "ignitor module"

Here's part numbers, ebay has them very cheap sometimes

Ignitor Module

    * Mitsubishi Part #J207 or #J208
    * Niehoff WA916E
    * STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part #LX578 or #LX593 or # LX644
    * AIRTEX / WELLS Part # 6H1155

Newbie but just went to order the Ignitor module for inside the distributor and the photo associated with STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part #LX578 appears to be the EXTERNAL module. The STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part #LX644 appears to be the INTERNAL. Will confirm what part #LX578 is when it arrives.

J207 - Same as J208, and lx644 5 pin non-turbo INTERNAL MODULE
J208 - Same as LX644 5 pin non-turbo INTERNAL MODULE
WA916E - Same as LX593 2 pin turbo INTERNAL MODULE
LX578 - 2 pin non-turbo EXTERNAL MODULE
LX593 - 2 pin turbo INTERNAL MODULE
LX644 - 5 pin non-turbo EXTERNAL MODULE
6H1155 - Same as LX593 turbo INTERNAL MODULE

Good luck.  Most of these numbers I can't confirm, since they are officially becoming obsolete as far as the manufacturers are concerned.

Where is that info from? It doesn't quite seem correct, the J207 & J208 are supposed to work on both turbo & nonturbo, and it listed the LX593 as an external turbo module? The turbo does not use an external module.

I went on rockauto for the information, and googled the j207 and j208.  Applications for the j207 and j208 differ but the modules are both the 5 pin non-turbo style units.  I also ammended my post above, sorry for the mistake.
