Power Steering Pump Adjustment Bolt
« on: October 14, 2011, 01:19:00 PM »

Anyone know where I can get one?  Mine broke off when I tried to loosen it to take the power steering pump off.  :(

I stop my whining when I see the "weathered" parts so many owners have to deal with.

How about I put a whole bunch of hardware in a flat rate box and you pay shipping?

What do you mean by hardware?  Just curious?

If you just need the long bolt, you should be able to match that at Lowes or something.  Just find one that fits the thread, looking for about 2 1/2 inches long.

I wish it was just the long bolt...the long bolt is siezed inside the other bolt and the head snapped off.  I had to cut the bolt out with my Dremel to get the power steering pump out.  Now the problem is I don't have a replacement bolt so I can't put the power steering pump back in.

Bolts and Nuts.  Pretty fair variety too! These are "slightly imperfect" from capris, not new and perfect from the dealer.

Youre welcome to them.

You need the threaded tensioner with the lock nut, and the longer adjusting bolt that threads through it, right?  Or the Long pivot bolt near the timing cover?

It's called PBlaster, and a vicegrip.  I have honestly NEVER had trouble undoing those bolts, maybe you got a lucky car that wasn't apart 18 times before you owned it.
