buy it...then get the title...then drive it...

you will have the bill of sale and apply for lost title. if the guy has the ebay stuff still should be simple..

otherwise take what you want and part it out

You could!  It wouldn't be "legal", but as long as you plan on keeping the car, it really can't hurt.  Take the VIN plate off yours, and put it on this one, simple as that. And for an asking price of $777, the car looks like a steal.

Or, you can file with the state for a lost title, and wait for it to show up (or not). But you wouldn't be breaking any laws that way!  ;)

Car's too nice to tear up...get a title for it!

Its a '93 and an XR2... fairly uncommon if you go by production numbers

In phoenix you apply for it..they come inspect it and make sure its not stolen. they send a letter to the last known owner and if he replies then he has 30 days to come and get it. If not then its yours..

most states should be about the same. if he got it from ebay, odds are the guy is not near and wont travel to pick it up...

You should find out what the law is in Ohio before you switch ID plates.  Filing for "lost" could be a requirement.
