Non Capri 1988 Suzuki Samurai

It is time to move on and get something with a little more room and a turbocharger.

I am the third owner of this little awesome truck. This thing runs like a champ. The chassis has 205,xxx miles on it. Or at least I believe so. The odometer rolls over at 99,999 miles so given its age and average condition, I believe this to be the chassis mileage. The motor has right around 20,000 miles on it. This block is not the original to the truck as the original engine had an oil pump failure. The cylinder head is the original to the truck.

The truck is silver in color originally, but the previous owner did some painting/rust masking in flat black over 2/3 of the truck. It has a small half top on it now that does need to be replaced. There are no holes or tears in the leather, but both rear quarter "windows" are torn/broken.

The truck is very near to stock aside a very cool and unique modification. It runs a 44mm Harley-Davidson Screaming Eagle constant velocity(CV) carberator. It also runs a Petroworks modified stock intake manifold to accept the new Harley carb. I have put roughly 15,000 miles on this setup since it was installed in january. It gets 29mpg like clock work with this setup on here. All using 85 octane. There is also a choke to help with cold starts that I have installed on the truck as well.

All services have been preformed by me as well as the modifications.

There are a few other key things to note about the truck.

Holley adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Electric fuel pump with external switch mounted in glove box
Screaming Eagle 44mm CV carberator
New battery- 150 miles old
New cap- 5000 miles
New rotor- 5000 miles
New plug wires- 8000 miles
Valve cover gasket- 8000 miles
Valve lash adjusted correctly to factory specs- 5000 miles
Base ignition timing set to 10*- 15,000 miles, verified in september
New 3/8" fuel hose from fuel tank to carberator- 15,000 miles
NGK BPR5ES spark plugs- 3000 miles
New thermostat- 3000 miles

This one is important- NAPA brand block heater- 15,000 miles, helps this motorcycle carberator start up even on cold colorado winter days right away

Both doors can be removed for summer time play
Panasonic CD player
Engine harness removed/rewired- 8000 miles
Half of dash harness removed/rewired- 8000 miles
Factory ECU removed- 8000 miles
Differential and Transmission fluids- 10,000 miles
Oil pan gasket- 5000 miles
1996 Dodge Neon seats- 5000 miles

Tire change tools will be included with truck. Good spare tire included on back. Wheel locks installed from previous owner. Key kept with vehicle.

There is some typical Samurai rust on this truck. Some forming around front windshield. Rocker panels are still intact but weak from rust. Wheel wells still intact. Some minor rust in bed of truck. Previous owner did not do much to prevent rust. It has not spread in the two years I have owned this truck. It is 25x's better than my first samurai that was more rust than solid metal.

This has been my daily driver for two years now. My fiance has grown tired of the truck and I am longing to have a turbo charged AWD vehicle again. This thing gets up and runs every time it is asked. Has never left me stranded and works wonders in the snow. The four wheel drive works great as well. The truck has stock sized all season tires that do decent enough in the snow and off road.

$2000 obo

If you are interested I am willing to entertain some respectable offers. I would love the $2000 but money talks. I think something near there is fair for how wonderful the truck runs and how much care it has been given.

Hea I was here first. I actually lurked for two years before joining.

I have had six turbo mitsubishis. But my current one is a FWD and is a full time race car these days. Making an effort with that car for the texas mile next year. And maybe bonneville the year after.

Thanks guys.
