Looking good! Have you ever considered painting the side moldings? I was passed the tip from another fellow Capri owner, and it made our blue 91 look MUCH newer and updated.

Yeah tell me about the labor of love there Bill!

After the Capri there will be no others that we totaly redo as were doing with this car (period!) we had my 88 Fiero Sports coupe with the anemic tech 4 motor, by the time one of our friends bought it from us we had totaly redone the car. We added the gt ground effects to it, the sunroofed top,Gt bumpers cant just have the ground effect without the right bumpers. I was going to leave the Tech 4 in it(well idrove it for about a month after before we swapped the motor and trans over as everyone tried to race me as it looked just like a gt v-6 but it only had 92hp, and it pissed me off when a base 95 escort could take it in the top end!

I owned ever year of the Fiero's they ever made. my most fav of them all was the 88 Sport coupe when it was the base 4cly one before we did all the work,The most most fav was for sure the real 88 Gt with the 5 speed that I sold the 88 base to buy. Seems as if every car I have had has went from me in much better shape then when i got it and still dont get what I paid before fixing them up lol!

If I ever sell the Capri I will just buy a basic newer cheap car and drive it as its bought!

I really have started to enjoy the Capri and the way the board works so well with everyone!

Carolina_Guy I just got my Capri in Oct 2003 so fars its been a intresting road to owning a capri. Kind of like my

Infiniti M30 parts was higher then heck cause was made from 90-92 and hard as heck to find!

Fiero Parts was semi cheap but hard as heck to find

Capri part's are somewhat high I think, and are somewhat hard to find also

Capri_chick I saw the pic's of your car before you got it and painted the trim. I must say I like it tons better with it painted also, give it a lot more of the 94 look.

I also plan on getting the mirrors painted as it makes the cars look a lot nice I belive.

I dont care much for the dual airbag look that the 94 has(nore the funky spot that lacks the airbag on the older ones like mine) I am looking at putting a lcd in there in a plate around it after I get everything going on it like it should be.

My car is always in sights view at work and then at home it stays in the garage so I dont fear the slashed top much as I always drive the Volvo or G35 to the places I cant watch the capri as they have full coverage.

Thnaks for the Compliments

I agree about the poorly designed cubbyhole on the passenger side, I'm interested to see what you can do with it!

Ditto on the mirrors as well, that is definetely something I would have done had we kept the car    Keep us posted on your progress!

Capri Chick,

Have you ever been intrested in the older capri's? or just the stang's? My sister had a 82 Capri 5.0 with the manual trans. when we was growing up. The guy owned a body shop that had it and he reomved all the capri signs and put the stang rear trunk, hood, and stang rims and front parts on it and painted it almos the same color my capri is(indego Blue)but her Capri was a prettier blue somewhat. Her car was very cool back then.

She still to this day kicks herself for getting rid of the car, but hey she paid 3000.00 drove it for 3 years and got 2700.00 back on it. The guy that got it had a few mustang's and Capri's. She still shops ebay and trader looking for another one that she can fix up like it was or to find another like it was.

She is the one that got me into cars as much as I am now days. She really went down hill after the capri tho went from a Amc Spirit (very nice for a Amc) to the Capri to a new 90 Yellow Gsi storm she lost the yellow one in a tornado in Kansas in 1991.then came the 91 Teal storm Gsi (sold it in 2003 with 315k on it)

Then the really big down fall came next was a Corrisca. She loved the Corrisca at first as it was larger and smooth but now she wants something with more flair again after havein the corr for 1.5 years.

I always thought the older capri's looke really nice, its a toss up on the turtle shell back window on them tho.
