Car show in TX
« on: September 19, 2004, 07:07:00 PM »

I didnt know if this belonged in the car show area, or the pictures areas. I just figured no one likes double posts...

Well, I brought my mustang to Fun Ford Weekend, and Richeter12x2 brought the capri.

I won Best Mustang, and the Capri won "Class Winner." Im glad he won something. Theres only 2 other categories he could fit into. Best Compact (which went to an escort) and best exotic (which won to a mustang??) The capri got a lot of "what the hell is that?"s Typically a car like that, that gets a response like that, and is actually imported, is, I dunno, exotic. Atleast more so than youre run of the mill fox body.

There were over 120 cars there, so that says A LOT for the capri...   ...and mine (which won nothing last year) But this was the capris first show, and I think thats pretty cool!

It was a rush to finish up the car. I mean, hell, Richter12x2, nearly killed himself with the buffer!! Not to mentin I helped some too. He kept wanting me to help...  ...neglecting my own car, then comments on how I wait till the last minute for everything, honestly!

When he drove up, one of the winning mustang owners joked about him might having to show some credentials (its a ford company only show) Also, some nut tried to pretend he knew about cars and called it a "fiesta convertible"

Anyways just tooting our own horns, go us! Definately sparked some intrest for Capridom. It would be cool having the value raise, pbecause people started fixing these gems up.
