I've done the AWD conversion. It requires a lot of cutting & welding & some custom parts. I have pictures on my website, check it out. It took me 2 years and a couple thousand bucks to collect the necessary parts.

The 2.0 is the FS engine, it's even longer than the BP so it'd be a tough fit. The ford Zetec engine should fit though, but the transmission/axle combos required to make either fit start to get really tricky

I've done this for the XR2. Check out my FAQ: www.werbatfik.com/ecu.htm

I don't have an N/A and it uses different ECU programming, so I've not tuned one. For an N/A there isn't a whole lot to be gained from ECU mods
