Soft top frame problem
« on: February 21, 2012, 03:54:00 AM »

94 Capri frame connector is broken on both sides.  These connectors are inside of frame and the lower cables of the soft top are tighten by the threaded ends. Can those things be repaired? If not, is it possible to replace a 94 frame with a 91-92 frame?  I have read about differences bet the 94s and the others, but no mention of the tops being different.  I know when I bought my cover for my 91, I was told there is a slight difference bet the two. Thank you for reading

Do you mean the end of the lowe cables that connect to the rear member. *(The rear member that pops in and out of the lip on the capote deck)

Those can be removed from the rear member by pushing the "rolled pin" through the rear member.  The new cable includes the replacement end.

AFAIK these lower cables are the same on all years.  The upper cable is shorter in the earlier cars.
