So yesterday I picked up a dizzy and some other things for my capri. Got it back in time and shit. Sooo yesterday was the true test if the car was going to run. I started it up and took it out. Ran amazing. So about 5 mins into driving I take it up to around 5k pulls. 1-3 was fine but at the end of third the fun began. The whole car filled with smoke.

Everyone I talk to says it sounds like I spun a bearing..

Anyways I needed a car for work. I got a loan off my family. Went looking at cars. I found a 1986 Mk1 Jetta for sale. The thing was in great shape. I mean barely any rust. Ran great even the ac was cold as hell. Was a 3 speed auto but still fun to drive.

Anyways. I bought the car for 1300. I know a little pricey but there was a ton of new parts and I havent seen a mk1 that clean in awhile. Anyways... I drove the car on a test. Up to see my gf and go out on the town. Its been awhile since we got out so we went into the city.

Ruffly 50-60 miles away from were I got the car.
So, we got to a wal mart parking lot to rent a movie for at home when the low oil pressure light came on with buzzer. So luckily we were close to get oil.

I bought 5 quarts of oil. We went outside and I started to fill it up. Took all 5 quarts. At this point I was worried. I started it up and got the biggest surprize ever. It started blowing white smoke everywere and oil poured out from the block..

5 hours later and a flat bed its sitting back in my driveway with a bad engine. It will start and run. But you can hear terrible slapping and grinding all threw the engine.

So when this guy wakes up I'm going to either get 800 back and install a new engine in my jetta and xr2 will get a rebuild kit. Or hes gonna shove the vw up his ass and I'm going to try to find another shitty car to use to get back and fourth to work.


On a side note. I'm now going to be a daddy.. So yeah I need a 4 door.

Sorry if this is a repost. I dont get to sleep much I know i posted this somewere but god knows were... Haha I have a bad thing for ot in other peoples threads randomly. But thanks guys for everything and this isnt going to be the last you hear from me.

My little xr2 needs a heart. And I'm looking for either a bpt or b6t that doesnt have a small nose crank. I have to slowly save tho cuz my baby comes first    I'm pretty stocked seeing my 22 bday is the 21st

To lose 5qts of oil I would suspect a hole in the oil pan....did you hit something? is the plug still in??? is there a crack or hole in the block. Did you get a bill of sale and did it state sold as is. Does your state have a lemon law.

I'm with Clay on this one - to lose 5 quarts of oil that fast, you have to have a hole in the pan! Or, your oil level wasn't as low as you thought, and you stuffed 5 quarts in there anyway!

Jettas head is cracked. Yes we have a lemon law and no they didnt say as is. Guy told me its a reliable car that will last me  years and years to come. He said "I guarantee this car will last you years"

Fun fact number 1 bout jetta. The speedo doesn't record miles. Stuck at 152k.

I'd drop that car back off at his place, and demand my $$ back!
