they have tops with 91-94 advertised but the 94 top is different too..... alot of parts are that way just advertised as 91-94... how do you get the right one??? FoMoCo thats how...
its not the suspension, or the way the swaybar end links are set up...(personally i prefer the kind on the 91-93 ones ,energy suspension has urethane for them) i cant put my finger on it but the 94 capri is just a more refined rig...
it has less cabin noise, from rattles and road noise.. its just more refined...
oh, and im going to use the swaybars from my 1991 on the 94 chassis with the energy suspension bushings and endlinks.. so yea im going to have xr2 suspension on it.. well kinda the shocks are tokico and the springs are intrax
sooo yea ...
gost, think of it this way,
what your doing, is a silvia conversion on a nissan 240sx...
your end result will be a nissan silvia...
what im doing, is going and getting a JDM N/A silvia, and swapping in the sr motor...
my end result will be a nissan silvia...
we will both be in 94 capris but when you open the door it will say 94 on mine and 91 on yours...
now, as for a trophy,, rocket has worked his ass off to build the gtxr2.. his work merits him the 91 modded class win ...
same with russ.. he has earned with work. the 92 class..
marks blue 93
lets face it.. thares no competition there (literally)
And the 94 modded class has like no competition at all..
thares a guy (forgot his name) that wins each year with rims and a handfull of bolt on mods... just about stock... you see, its not about getting a trophy... its about spreading the love.. i want a picture of russ, myself, matt, and, mark holding modded trophys at a MACG becuase we work our asses off on our cars to get there..
becuase we sacrifice and spend retarded hours working on junk that will never be worth anything becuase we love it... pure and simple we love theese cars...
i would drive the 6 hours to reslenear to not even register my car. but just to see that many of them in one place...
basicly it comes down to this, i dont want to be competeing in the 91 class,
i want to compete in the 94 class... less of them have been modded, and
i think that the largest class that shows up at the MACG has the least modded cars in it ... so im gonna shake it up a bit...hopefully draw a few more to mod the 94 cars out.. ( i cant say much if i had a 94 XR2 i wouldnt mod it neither)
but an n/a on the other hand?
?
