Sorry to keep coming back to this 'transmission swap' question but I'm running out of other options for my project. I've located an automatic transmission out of a 1991 Mazda 323 locally. According to my web-searches it's a G4A-EL which is suppost to be the same as 1991-94 Capris had. That should bolt-up to our (N/A) engine correct? Can anyone tell me if I'll also have to change out my stock ECU & wire harness to use this trans in my car? Is there a way to run the auto trans without the ECU hooked-up?
